Case registered against RJD leader Tej Pratap Yadav for hiding property details in election affidavit

Samastipur: An FIR has been registered against Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tej Pratap Yadav for allegedly hiding property details in an affidavit filed during the assembly elections in Bihar in 2020, police said on Thursday. An FIR has been registered at Rosera police station in Samastipur. The RJD leader has been charged with concealment of immovable property under Section 125 (A) of the Representation of the People Act, 1951. The Janata Dal (United) had lodged a complaint with the Chief Electoral Officer in this matter. ( FIR against rjd leader )

A copy of the complaint to the Election Commission of India

On the orders of the Election Commission and the instructions of the District Election Officer and Deputy Collector Land Reforms (DCLR), Rosera Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO) Brijesh Kumar has taken action against the RJD leader. Later, a copy of the complaint was sent to the Election Commission of India, which wrote to the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) for investigation.

Asked to reply within three weeks ( FIR against rjd leader )

After the investigation of CBDT, the Election Commission had sent a show cause notice to Tej Pratap Yadav for giving wrong information in the affidavit. Tej Pratap has been asked to reply within three weeks. However, after the RJD MLA failed to respond in the given time, an FIR was registered against him. ( FIR against rjd leader )
