Charleston Open: Top seed Pegula and former champion Keys in the next round of the tournament
Charleston. Top seed Jessica Pegula and former champion Madison Keys registered easy victories in the second round of the Charleston Open tennis tournament. World number three American player Pegula defeated Russia’s Anna Blinkova 6-2 6-0 in a match that lasted 65 minutes. Another American player and who won the title here in 2019, Keys also easily defeated compatriot Hailey Baptiste 6-1 6-2.

In other matches, Russia’s Daria Kasatkina beat American Madison Brengle 6-2 6-1, Russia’s seventh seed Ekaterina Alexandrova beat compatriot Yulia Putintseva 6-1 6-3, Spain’s 12th seed Paula Badosa beat Canada. Key Leyla Fernandez 7-5, 7-6 (6) and Romania’s 15th seed Irina Camelia Begu defeated America’s Sofia Kenin 6-1, 6-4.
