Football Update: Paris St. Germain beat Strasbourg 2-1, Neymar gets red card

Paris. Brazil star Neymar, playing in his first match since the World Cup, received a red card during Paris Saint-Germain’s (PSG) 2-1 win against Strasbourg. Neymar received his first yellow card in the 61st minute for a tackle on Strasbourg midfielder Adrien Thomson. A minute later, he received a second red card for diving incorrectly. The forward even argued with referee Clement Turpin but to no avail.

Neymar has received a red card for the fifth time since joining PSG in 2017. Due to this, he will not be able to play there in the match against Lens on Sunday. No player has been sent off more times in the French league since 2017-2018. Brazil lost to Croatia in the quarter-finals of the World Cup in Qatar, after which Neymar’s eyes were filled with tears.
