Harmanpreet doubtful for T20 World Cup semi-final against Australia, Pooja out

Cape Town. Indian captain and star batsman Harmanpreet Kaur is down with fever ahead of the semi-final of the T20 Women’s World Cup against Australia, while all-rounder Pooja Vastrakar has been ruled out of the crucial match due to a respiratory infection. According to team sources, Harmanpreet, Pooja and left-arm spinner Radha Yadav went to the local hospital on Wednesday for a detailed check-up.

The medical team is monitoring the situation and it is not yet clear whether the Indian skipper will be fit for the match which starts in a few hours. Meanwhile, the technical committee of the tournament has approved the inclusion of Sneh Rana as a replacement for Pooja in the Indian team. Spin bowling all-rounder Sneh has played a total of 47 international matches including 24 T20 Internationals.
