Hockey World Cup: Indian players met Naveen Patnaik, announced to give one crore to each player on winning

Hockey World Cup 2023 is going to be organized in Odisha. Matches will be played in two cities of Odisha, Rourkela and Bhubaneswar. In this regard, tremendous preparations are also being made by the Odisha government. Amidst all this, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has also met the Indian players today. Naveen Patnaik, who went on a tour of Rourkela, also inaugurated the World Cup Village in the Birsa Munda Hockey Stadium premises. During this, Naveen Patnaik has made a big announcement for the Indian players. He has said that on winning the Men’s Hockey World Cup, every player of the Indian team will be given a prize of Rs 1 crore.

 

Let us tell you that Rourkela’s Birsa Munda Hockey Stadium is fully equipped with modern facilities. It is one of the modern hockey stadiums. Whereas, the World Cup Village has been built in a record time of nine months. It has 225 rooms with all the facilities at the level of Hockey World Cup. The World Cup Village will house the upcoming Hockey World Cup teams and officials. The Indian team has also stayed here. He has also spoken to the men’s hockey team. After this, Patnaik said that if our country wins the World Cup, then each player of the Indian team will be given a reward of one crore rupees. I wish Team India all the best and hope they emerge as champions.

The Hockey World Cup will be held from January 13 to January 29. Apart from India, teams from Belgium, England, Germany, Netherlands, Spain, France and Wales are participating in this World Cup. Apart from this, the teams of South Africa, Argentina, Chile, Japan, Malaysia, South Korea, Australia and New Zealand will also show their dominance in this World Cup. India will play their first match against Spain on January 13 in Rourkela. On the other hand, India will play the second match against England on January 15 in Rourkela.
