According to the information given by the ICC, from June 27, the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup trophy will travel to 18 countries including host India, Kuwait, Bahrain, Malaysia, America, Nigeria, Uganda, France, Italy, America. During this tour, cricket fans will be able to see this magnificent trophy through different activities and events in many countries.

ICC Chief Executive Geoff Allardyce said, “The countdown to the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup has begun. Its main attraction of the tournament, the title trophy, is now out on tour, which is like a countdown to the tournament. This is an important milestone in organizing this tournament.

 

He said that the ICC World Cup trophy will be presented to the heads of state on this tour. Community initiatives will be launched during this time. Cricket development programs will also be supported, apart from visiting several iconic destinations around the world.

 

Regarding this trophy, the Secretary of the Cricket Board of India (BCCI) Jay Shah said that the way cricket unites the whole of India, no other game unites. The enthusiasm about the World Cup is increasing across the country. We look forward to hosting 10 of the best teams in the world for six weeks of heart-stopping cricket.

 

He said that with the countdown to the Cricket World Cup, the trophy tour is going to be a part of the event for fans, which is nothing less than a gift for all cricket fans, wherever they are. This tour will be held on a large scale in India. There will also be a chance to showcase iconic places, cities and landmarks across the country. The tour of this trophy has started from 27th June. The trophy will travel around the world which will end on September 4.
