Hotel rooms are being booked at a whopping price of around Rs 50000 to Rs 1 lakh. Apart from this, it is also reported that the rooms are also fully booked. Meanwhile, fans have come up with a funny counter-strategy to ensure that they don’t have to shell out such a huge amount.

Cricket enthusiasts are now reportedly in touch with hospitals near the stadium to book their beds. The cost of one day in these hospitals ranges from Rs 3000 to Rs 25000. In addition, these are also twin shared rooms – one for the patient and the other for the attendant who can stay with the patient. Fans are demanding a full body check-up to give a valid reason for his stay in the hospital. Speaking to Ahmedabad Mirror, Dr Paras Shah, director of Sannidhya Multi Specialty Hospital in Bopal area, said, “Since it is a hospital, they are asking for full body check-up and overnight stay, so both their objectives are fulfilled, saving money on staying and getting your health checked.”

Sterling Hospital Medical Director Dr. Nikhil Lala also confirmed the same and said that they are also thinking of coming up with a health package to meet the requirements. He also acknowledged the fact that the inquiries are coming because of the India vs Pakistan game which is going to be held in the month of October. We are also getting inquiries for 24-48 hour stay in our hospital, especially around 15th October, as we also have full body check-up package. This is because of the India-Pakistan match in the upcoming World Cup to be held on October 15. With this he claimed that like our hospitals, the situation is similar in other city hospitals. So, we are thinking of bringing other health packages.
