Indian veterans gave a befitting reply to Javed Miandad’s comment regarding Asia Cup 2023 host

The Asia Cup is to be held in 2023. It is likely that it will be organized in September. However, it has not yet been decided whether the Asia Cup will be held in Pakistan or it will be hosted by someone else.

Javed Miandad gave a controversial statement
The veteran players including the chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Council are also agitated over the hosting of the Asia Cup. In this case, recently, former Pakistan player Javed Miandad, using objectionable words, said that if India does not want to come to play in Pakistan, then go to hell. We do not need to depend on India for survival. Our cricket is doing better even without India. If the Indian team does not come to Pakistan for the Asia Cup, we will also not go there for the World Cup.

Indian players retaliated
Now Ravichandran Ashwin has also given a befitting reply to Javed Miandad on this matter. He said that there are times when we hear that Pakistan does not want to come to India but the tournament is then shifted out. This time the Asia Cup should be shifted to Sri Lanka as it is happening again and again in Dubai.

Venkateswara Prasad also tweeted
Now former Indian bowler Venkatesh Prasad has also targeted Pakistan on this matter. He has responded to this reply of Pakistan in a forceful manner on Twitter. Sharing the comment related to Miandad, he wrote that the Indian team is refusing to go to hell.

BCCI refused
In fact, BCCI and Asian Cricket Council President Jay Shah had said last year itself that the Indian team will not tour Pakistan due to security reasons. When Asia shifts out of there only then the Indian team will take part in it.

Decision will be taken in March
The Asian Cricket Council (ACC) will decide on an alternate venue for the Asia Cup ODI tournament in March after the first formal meeting between BCCI secretary Jay Shah and PCB chairman Najam Sethi in Bahrain on Saturday. The Asia Cup hosting rights were initially given to Pakistan and it was to be held in September 2023 but ACC chairman Shah announced in October last year that India would not tour Pakistan.
