Indian women’s cricket team’s all-rounder Deepti Sharma said that the World Cup victory is not far away

Veteran all-rounder Deepti Sharma of the Indian women’s cricket team, which won the Asia Cup title for a record seventh time, said here on Saturday that the World Cup title is not far away now. In the tournament, the Indian team had to face only one defeat against Pakistan. The team registered big wins in other matches. Deepti, who won the ‘Player of Series’ title with 13 wickets in eight matches of the tournament, said, “As a team, we did well from the first match to the final. “As a team we have done well and have supported each other which is good. We wanted to enjoy every match throughout the tournament.” India have won all the seasons of the Asia Cup except after losing to Bangladesh in the 2018 final. However, the Indian women’s team has not tasted the World Cup victory now. The team has reached the final of the ODI World in 2005 and 2017 while the team has traveled to the final in the T20 International World Cup in 2020.

Excited about the Asia Cup win, Deepti said that the World Cup victory is not far away. The next season of the T20 World Cup in South Africa is just four months away. Deepti said, “If we do the same thing as a bowling and batting unit, then the World Cup is not too far away. This will be the mindset whenever we play the final next time.
