Inter Milan returns to winning ways after defeating Benfica in Champions League quarter-finals
Lisbon. Inter Milan found their way to victory again after beating Benfica 2-0 in the first leg of the quarter-finals of the Champions League football competition. Inter Milan had not been able to register a win in six matches before this but they won when it was needed the most. This put them in a position to make it to the semi-finals of the Champions League for the first time in more than a decade.

Nicolo Barella and Romelu Lukaku scored for Inter Milan in the second half after a goalless first half. It was Inter Milan’s first win in more than a month while it was Benfica’s second straight defeat after going 15-match unbeaten in all competitions. Benfica meanwhile had won 13 matches.
