IPL 2023: RCB need to win against SRH to strengthen playoff claim

Hyderabad. When the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) team takes the field in the Indian Premier League (IPL) T20 here on Thursday for an important match against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), former India captain Virat Kohli will be eyeing a place in the playoffs. With the fine bowling of Mohammad Siraj (one wicket for 10 runs), Rajasthan’s innings was bundled out for just 59 runs in 10.3. On the bowling front, the onus will again be on Parnell, Siraj and Bracewell to do well. SRH will be playing for their self-respect after becoming the second team to be eliminated from the tournament.

The team would like to win their remaining two matches and give their fans a chance to be happy. The team has failed in both the batting and bowling departments this season.With the bat, none apart from Heinrich Klaasen and to a lesser extent Rahul Tripathi could do well. Captain Aiden Markram’s poor form added to the team’s woes. Harry Brook could not continue the performance of the opening matches while Mayank Agarwal failed miserably. Apart from Bhuvneshwar Kumar (14 wickets) and Mayank Markandeya (12 wickets), other bowlers of the team disappointed.
