Gulmarg and Pahalgam first choice of shooting

From Rishi Kapoor’s Bobby to Salman Khan’s Bajrangi Bhaijaan, dozens of films have been shot in Gulmarg and Pahalgam. Every filmmaker aspires to shoot scenes in the natural beauty of Kashmir. In the 1990s, during the rising militancy and bloodshed in the Valley, filmmakers had stopped shooting films in Kashmir. However, in the last four years, peace has opened in Kashmir, stone pelting, anti-national activities have been curbed here.

Khan said about Kashmir- “When the shooting was going on, I did not feel tired like it happens in other places. I enjoyed shooting here for my music series without any tension. I want to come here again and again, appeal to other filmmakers to come here for shooting. Khan has advised filmmakers to shoot in Kashmir instead of going abroad. Roslyn Khan was shooting for her music series at Tangmarg in Baramulla district, which is close to Gulmarg’s skiing.
