Star Australia batsman Marnus Labuschagne is looking forward to facing Ravichandran Ashwin’s bowling during the Test tour of India next month as he has made necessary changes in his game to deal with the top spinner. Australia has not won a Test series in India since 2004. The team will play four Test matches in Nagpur (February 9 to 13), New Delhi (February 17 to 21), Dharamsala (March 1 to 5) and Ahmedabad (March 9 to 13). Labushen was the top scorer in the 2020-21 Border-Gavaskar Trophy in Australia with 426 runs at 53.25 but was dismissed twice by Ashwin.
Labushen told ‘cricket.com.au’, “Whatever I have heard about Ashwin and the way he has bowled me, I have made some changes in my game.” “He said,” I have made some changes in my game as to how he will bowl. It will be great to have a fight against him that I can’t wait for. Labushen (28 years) said that he started his preparations for the India tour only after the 2020-21 home series. He is currently playing for Brisbane Heat in the Big Bash League.
