Lucknow Super Giants stop Sunrisers cheaply

Left-arm spinner Krunal Pandya took three top-order wickets as Lucknow Supergiants restricted Sunrisers Hyderabad to 121 for eight in their IPL match. Krunal took three wickets for 18 runs. He dismissed Mayank Agarwal (eight), Anmolpreet Singh (31) and captain Aiden Markram (0). He took the last two wickets in two consecutive balls in the eighth over, which made the Sunrisers score 50 runs for three wickets. Markram, playing his first match of this season and also his first match as the captain of Sunrisers, lost the wicket on the very first ball.

Ravi Bishnoi then dismissed Harry Brook who was stumped by Nicholas Pooran. The Sunrisers team could not recover from these initial setbacks. Veteran leg-spinner Amit Mishra later took two wickets for 23 runs. He dismissed impact player Ayush Badoni in the 19th over. Lucknow captain KL Rahul handed the ball to Krunal in the third over, which also paid off. Agarwal handed a catch to Marcus Stoinis in the third over. Five overs later, he dismissed Anmolpreet lbw.
