Madrid Open: Ons Jabour withdraws from tennis tournament due to calf injury
Madrid. Defending champion Ons Jabour has pulled out of the Madrid Open due to a left calf injury, dealing a blow to her preparations for the French Open. Tunisia’s world number four Jabour decided to withdraw from the semi-finals of the clay court tournament in Stuttgart, Germany, when she was trailing 0-3 in the first set against world number one Iga Swiatek. . Jabur then posted on Twitter that he had injured his calf and would need to undergo a series of tests.

He said, “I need time to recover from this injury. I am sad to announce that I will not be able to play in Madrid. Jaboor was runner-up at Wimbledon and US Open last year.
