Mallika Sagar will auction WPL 2023, know why she has got this responsibility
February 13 is a very important day in the history of women’s cricket. On this day, five teams will bid for women players at the Jio Convention Center in Mumbai. In this special program to be held in Mumbai, there will be a woman in the role of Sutradhar or Host, whose name is Mallika Sagar.
Mallika has been appointed by the BCCI as the auctioneer for the first season in the history of the Women’s Premier League. The BCCI has also provided information about Mallika to all the five teams participating in the auction. This is the first time that a woman has been chosen for the occasion.

Mumbai-based Mallika Sagar is currently a collector and consultant of modern and contemporary Indian art. He is also a partner in the Art India Consultant organization. She also worked as an auctioneer in the Pro Kabaddi League before joining the auction in the Women’s Premier League. Mallika has appeared several times in small roles in cricket based shows.
He was the first auctioneer of IPL
Please tell that IPL started in India in the year 2008. The auctioneer was played by Richard Medley for the first season. From 2008 to 2018, he played the role of the chief auctioneer of IPL. In the year 2019, Hugh Adams got this responsibility in his place. After this, in the year 2021, sports anchor Charu Sharma was selected for the role of auctioneer.
