Massive fire in Lajpat Rai Market of Chandni Chowk in Delhi, 60 shops burnt down, fear of loss of crores

New Delhi | Delhi Chandni Chowk Fire: This morning, news of big incidents from two different states has come to the fore in the country. In Surat district of Gujarat, where 6 people have died due to chemical leakage, now in the capital of the country, there has been an incident of fire in Lajpat Rai Market of Chandni Chowk this morning. Police and fire brigade vehicles have reached the spot on information about the fire and efforts are on to control the fire. Around 12 fire tenders are trying to douse the fire at the spot.

Close to 60 shops burnt down, fear of loss of crores
Delhi Chandni Chowk Fire: Fire broke out in the area. However, thankfully, no casualty has been reported so far in the fire. Apart from electronic goods, a large number of clothing shops are present in this area. About 60 shops have come under the grip of this fierce fire. Due to which there is a possibility of loss of crores of rupees.

Huge crowd of people on the spot
There is no word yet on how the fire started in the shops. But it is believed that the cause of the fire could be a short circuit. According to the fire department official, the information about the fire was received at around 5.45 am. After which the vehicles were immediately dispatched to the spot. The news of fire in the area also spread like wildfire and a huge crowd of people gathered there early in the morning. Due to which the administration also faced difficulty in relief work.
