Match between Brazil and America 1-1 draw

Title contenders Brazil and the United States played out a 1-1 draw in a Group A match of the FIFA Women’s U-17 World Cup here on Friday as both teams cemented their bid for the quarterfinals. In this match, both the goals were scored in the first half with a difference of four minutes. Brazil and USA have four points each from matches against Morocco and India respectively.

The match between Brazil and the United States was a close match, in which America dominated the ball and scored more shots in the opponent’s goal. ‘Concacaf’ champion America made 19 shots while South American champion Brazil made 15 shots.

African champions Nigeria beat New Zealand 4-0 in a group match in Margao. Goals were scored for him in Amina Belo (16th), Mirakal Usani (34th), Taiwo Afolabi (75th) and Ididiong Etim (90+5th). It was the second defeat in the tournament for New Zealand, who lost to Chile 1-3 on Tuesday. Nigeria also suffered a 1-2 loss to Germany in the opening match.
