Miami Gardens. Twelfth seed Petra Kvitova defeated seventh seed Elena Rybakina 7. 6, 6. 2 to win the Miami Open women’s singles title. The 33-year-old Kvitova of the Czech Republic halted the 13-match winning streak of Rybakina, ten years her junior, and did not let her win her second title in a row.

Rybakina also recently registered a title win in Indian Wells. Janik Siner will face Daniil Medvedev in the men’s singles final. Sinar defeated defending champion Carlos Alcaraz to make it to the finals. In the men’s doubles final, Santiago Gonzales and Edouard Roger Veselin defeated Austin Krycek and Nicolas Mahut 7–7. 6, 7. beat by 5.
