Mohun Bagan slams KKR management for misbehaving with its fans

Mohun Bagan on Sunday accused Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) of high-handedness, claiming that the city-based IPL franchise had barred its fans from entering the Eden Gardens for wearing the football club’s jersey. Mohun Bagan and Lucknow Supergiants are owned by RP Sanjiv Goenka Group. In the match played against KKR on Saturday, the Lucknow team came out wearing Bagan’s jersey colored dress. Lucknow won this match by one run.

Mohun Bagan general secretary Devashish Dutta said in a press release, “It was a special match for the supporters of Mohun Bagan as the Lucknow Supergiants team entered the match wearing green and maroon jerseys.” The KKR managers did not allow Mohun Bagan supporters to enter the stadium as they were wearing Mohun Bagan jerseys. Mohun Bagan Athletic Club strongly condemns this decision of KKR.
