MS Dhoni won hearts by giving lap of honor to fans in Chepauk, gave special gifts to fans

There is a discussion about Mahendra Singh Dhoni that Indian Premier League 2023 is going to be his last season. This season, the successful captain of Chennai Super Kings played his home ground ie Chepauk Stadium, possibly the last match of this season and his IPL career against Kolkata Knight Riders on 14th May. Even after the defeat in this match, the fans present in the stadium expressed their love to the team of Chennai Super Kings. In this match, the team of Chennai Super Kings, under the leadership of Mahendra Singh Dhoni, went around the Chepauk stadium and gave a lap of honor to the fans. After this match, Dhoni thanked the fans for coming to watch the match and showering their love. Dhoni thanked the fans along with the team for the way the fans have always supported the team.
 
He also distributed many gifts to the fans along with the team which included CSK T-shirts and several tennis balls. Dhoni took tennis balls to the fans by hitting them from the racks. Most of the team members including team CEO Kashi Vishwanathan, Ravindra Jadeja, Moin Ali, Ajinkya Rahane, Tushar Deshpande, Deepak Chahar, coach Stephen Fleming were present along with Dhoni while giving lap of honor to the fans. During this, Mahendra Singh Dhoni was seen wearing a knee cap which he was wearing due to a knee injury.
 
Dhoni’s statement came after the match
Dhoni told that as soon as his team came out to bowl on the field, he had an idea that the team should have scored around 180 runs. After restricting Chennai to 144 for six, KKR achieved the target in 18.3 overs for the loss of four wickets. Dhoni told the broadcasters after the match, “When we bowled the first ball in the second innings, we knew that we should have scored closer to 180.” However, he refused to blame any player for the team’s defeat. The place was attributed to the circumstances.
 
Dhoni said, “The dew made a big difference to our bowling. We can’t really fault any of our bowlers. Just the circumstances had a big impact on the game. Dhoni praised Shivam Dubey, who scored an unbeaten 48 off 34 balls, and Deepak Chahar, who took three wickets, on this occasion. “Very happy with what Shivam has done, but the important thing is that he is not complacent and keeps on improving. Deepak Chahar is an expert in swinging the ball. He knows where to bowl, where the fielder is and he bowls accordingly.
