Najam Sethi will not be the next chairman of PCB, could not handle the chair even for 6 months
Lahore. Before the Asia Cup and ODI World Cup, there is a lot of ruckus in the Pakistan Cricket Board. On the one hand, headlines are constantly being made regarding the organization of the Asia Cup. Meanwhile, a new problem has come in Pakistan cricket. Along with this, it has become clear that many types of upheavals are being seen in Pakistan cricket these days.
Let us tell you that the interim chief of Pakistan Cricket Board, Najam Sethi has announced his withdrawal from the race for the post of PCB chairman. That is, he will step down from this post after taking over the responsibility of Pakistan Cricket Board only for six months. He has made it clear that he does not want to hold a permanent position in the board.
Significantly, after removing Rameez Raja, Najam Sethi got the chair of the interim chairman of PCB. In this regard, Pakistan Cricket Board’s interim chief Najam Sethi on Tuesday said that he does not want a permanent position in the board, withdrawing from the race for the post of PCB chairman. Sethi said that he did not want to become a cause of difference between the country’s top politicians (Pakistan People’s Party Chairman Asif Zardari and Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif). That is, Najam Sethi is not ready to become the subject of any dispute between Zardari and Sharif. At the same time, the way was cleared for Zaka Ashraf for the post of next chairman of PCB.
Salaam everyone! I don’t want to be a bone of contention between Asif Zardari and Shehbaz Sharif. Such instability and uncertainty is not good for PCB. Under the circumstances I am not a candidate for Chairmanship of PCB. Good luck to all the stakeholders.

Best wishes to all.” Recently, Pakistan’s ruling coalition government came under fire when both the Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz and the Pakistan People’s Party announced their candidacy for the post of PCB chairman.
