ODI World Cup 2023: Qualifier matches will start, there will be 34 matches between 10 teams

Now there is a place of two teams for the World Cup, in which a total of 10 teams will try their luck. A total of 34 matches will be played between these 10 teams, which will start from June 18. Matches will be played between all the teams from June 18 to July 9 under the qualifying round.

A total of 10 teams will participate in the qualifiers for the ICC ODI World Cup 2023. A total of 34 matches will be played in this qualifying round. Let us tell you that eight teams have directly qualified for the ODI World Cup 2023. A total of 10 teams will participate in the World Cup, for which two teams are still vacant. 10 teams will compete for these two places. In this, teams from Zimbabwe, West Indies, Netherlands, Sri Lanka, Ireland, Scotland, Oman, Nepal, USA and UAE will participate in the qualifying round. Explain that these teams have been divided into two groups. There are five teams in Group A which include West Indies, Zimbabwe, Netherlands, Nepal and USA. On the other hand, Group B includes Sri Lanka, Ireland, Scotland, Oman and UAE.

This is the format of the qualifying round
First of all, the teams of both the groups will play once against the other teams present in their group i.e. all the teams will have one match against each other. 20 matches will be played in the group stage till 27th Jan. After this, six teams including the top three teams of both the groups will get a place in the Super 6. There will be matches between the teams of Super 6. These matches will be played between teams that did not face each other in the group stage. The teams will then clash to play the finals. Both the teams that reach the final match will qualify for the World Cup 2023. These teams will get 9th and 10th position to play World Cup 2023.
