Parliament Session: Health Minister said- Indigenous vaccine for TB is being prepared…

New Delhi | Parliament Session Mansukh Mandaviya : During the winter session of Parliament, Health and Family Welfare Minister Mansukh Mandaviya told that we are working continuously to recover from TB. He said that a company in the country is working to develop a vaccine for TB and its initial trials have been done. Mandaviya gave the above information while answering various supplementary questions during the Question Hour in Rajya Sabha. Giving information, he said that three tests have been done in this regard and the data related to those tests is being studied. He said that if the trial is successful then soon TB vaccine will also be available in the country. He said that efforts are also on for dengue vaccine.

Parliament Session Mansukh Mandaviya : Mandaviya said that during the lockdown imposed to prevent the spread of corona virus infection, there was a decrease in TB testing, but now it is accelerating again. He said that the government is serious about making India free from TB by 2025 and various steps are being taken in this direction.

Seminar is being organized for awareness

Parliament Session Mansukh Mandaviya : Mandaviya said that campaigns are also being run to make people aware about the disease of TB. A seminar of all the states was also organized in the month of October to discuss about the control of the disease.
