Several tournaments are to be organized by the International Cricket Council in the coming years. These events also include the conduct of the Champions Trophy and the T20 World Cup. Both these tournaments are to be organized in Pakistan. The Pakistan Cricket Board has suffered a major setback in this regard.
In fact, there is a continuous dispute between India and Pakistan regarding the Asia Cup 2023. Meanwhile, the Pakistan Cricket Board has also threatened that it will not come to India to play the World Cup. Angered by this behavior of Pakistan, now the Council can hand over the organization of ICC Champions Trophy 2025 and ICC T20 World Cup 2024 to some other country. That is, the possibility of changing the venue of both the important tournaments is very high.
It is believed that the hosting of T20 World Cup 2024 can be handed over to England. At the same time, the hosting of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 can be handed over to the United States of America instead of Pakistan. However, so far no official statement has come from the ICC in this regard. Although the ICC can take a decision in this regard soon. According to reports, the ICC is keen to hand over the hosting of the T20 World Cup 2024 to England. Apart from that it can also be organized in West Indies or America.
For these reasons hosting will be snatched from Pakistan
Please tell that this whole issue has happened due to the stubborn attitude of the Pakistan Cricket Board. Regarding participation in Asia Cup 2023, it has already been clarified by the Board of Control for Cricket in India that in this tournament, the Indian team will play at neutral venues only. The Indian team will not go to play matches in Pakistan.
The Pakistan Cricket Board is not ready to accept this demand of India. In view of Pakistan’s obstinate attitude, the ICC has now decided to take action against it. In fact, a huge amount goes to the ICC from India as revenue. Looking at the revenue, ICC is not ready to take any kind of risk on this matter. It is being considered to organize both Champions Trophy and T20 World Cup in other countries.
