Clashes broke out between two groups in Punjab’s Patiala today. Four people are reported to have been injured in this clash. According to the information, an anti-Khalistan march was taken out in Patiala. During this, a clash broke out between the two groups and the police had to open fire in the air to control the situation. There is also a claim that slogans were also raised on Khalistan from one side. At present, Punjab Police has come into action regarding this clash. According to the information, curfew has been announced to maintain peace and law and order. However, there will be relaxation in curfew for all emergency and essential services. Terming the incident as unfortunate, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann said that he is in touch with the Director General of Police (DGP) of the state. Mann said in a tweet, “The incident of clash in Patiala is very unfortunate. I have spoken to the DGP. Peace has been restored in the area. We are closely monitoring the situation and will not allow anyone to create an atmosphere of unrest in the state,” he said, adding that peace and harmony is very important in Punjab.
