The two former River Plate players, defender Emanuel Mammana and hitch Juan Fernando Quintero, are the immediate goals of reinforcements that coach Marcelo Gallardo wants to close to start the preseason on January 8.

Quintero, who left River last year after the pandemic without even joining the club’s preseason, could not adapt to Chinese football and as he lost ground in the Colombian team, he seeks competition to reach the World Cup.
In this way, after the hiring of Tomás Pochettino on loan for a season from the Austin FC of the MLS, Gallardo’s team will have several additions to the squad for this new season with the usual triple competition.
