Miami Open Tennis: Alcaraz in semifinals, Rybakina in women’s final
Miami Gardens. Top-ranked tennis player Carlos Alcaraz cruised into the last four of the Miami Open with a comfortable win over Taylor Fritz of America in the men’s singles quarter-finals. The Spaniard beat 10th ranked Fritz 6-4 6-2 in a match that lasted one hour and 18 minutes. This is their 18th win in 19 matches this year. In the semi-finals, Alcaraz will face the challenge of Yannick Sinar. In another men’s quarterfinal, Daniil Medvedev defeated US qualifier Chris Eubanks 6-3 7-5.

Medvedev will face compatriot Karen Khachanov in the semi-finals. Khachanov defeated Francisco Cerundolo 6-3 6-2. In the women’s singles, Alina Ryabkina defeated Jessica Pegula 7-6(3) 6-4 in a rain-affected match in the semi-finals. In the final, she will face the winner of the semifinal match between 15th seed Petra Kvitova and unseeded Sorana Christi.
