Squash Championship: Tanishka Jain upset Urvashi Joshi by defeating

Tanishka Jain upset Urvashi Joshi in a five-game quarterfinal clash in the women’s singles event of the 78th National Squash Championship, here on Thursday. Tanishka defeated seeded three-four bracket Urvashi 11-9, 5-11, 12-10, 5-11, 11-4 to enter the semi-finals.

Top seeds in the men’s and women’s sections – Abhay Singh and Joshna Chinappa – made it to the last four with easy wins. Experienced Harinderpal Sandhu and Velavan Senthilkumar also reached the semi-finals.
