Patna: Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Yadav said on Wednesday 1 December after empty liquor bottles were found in the Bihar Assembly complex that the incident exposed the failure of the administration to implement the prohibition. Tejashwi also demanded the resignation of Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar from the post of Home Minister. Speaking to ANI, Yadav said that it is shameful that empty liquor bottles were found in the Bihar Assembly premises. This reflects the failure of the administration to implement prohibition. Tejashwi Yadav said that the Home Minister should resign. Those in power are giving protection to the liquor mafia. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar had said on Tuesday that he would ask the Chief Secretary and the Director General of Police to conduct a probe and said criminals should not be spared. There is a complete ban on any type of liquor in Bihar since April 2016. Empty liquor bottles were found in the premises of the legislature in Bihar on Tuesday, November 30. In a new embarrassment for the CM Nitish Kumar government which is claiming the lives of more than 40 people in the toxic tragedies that happened recently. The bottles were found under a tree in an area marked as a parking lot for two-wheelers. this is outrageous. This place is less than 100 meters away from the Chief Minister’s chamber.

Yesterday itself, the Chief Minister presided over a tamasha in which NDA MLAs took oath against the consumption of liquor inside the Central Hall here. Liquor bottles have been found in the same premises within 24 hours. Complete prohibition.. On being told that the ruling NDA was accusing RJD leaders of being involved in illegal liquor business, he made a sarcastic remark. Wouldn’t be surprised.
