The final of the World Test Championship (WTC) between India and Australia began at The Oval today. India won the toss and elected to bowl first while top off-spinner Ravi Ashwin could not get a chance in the Rohit Sharma-led side. During this, players of both India and Australia teams were seen wearing black armbands. He did this in the memory of the victims of the Odisha train tragedy. The team mourns the loss and extends its deepest condolences to the families and friends of all those who tragically lost their lives. Team India will wear black armbands to express solidarity with those affected.

Indian captain Rohit Sharma won the toss and elected to field in the final of the World Test Championship (WTC) against Australia here on Wednesday. India have decided to go with four fast bowlers in this match, due to which off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin has not found a place in the playing XI. Mohammed Shami, Mohammed Siraj, Umesh Yadav and all-rounder Shardul Thakur will play the role of fast bowlers while all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja is the only spinner in the playing XI. Australia has also given a chance to fast bowler Scott Boland in this match.
