Wrestlers protest: PT Usha met the protesting wrestlers, had earlier told the protest to be indiscipline
Indian Olympic Association President PT Usha reached Jantar Mantar in Delhi on Wednesday. He has interacted with the protesting wrestlers at Jantar Mantar. Wrestlers have been protesting against Wrestling Federation of India President Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh for the last 11 days at Jantar Mantar over allegations of sexual harassment. Wrestler Brij Bhushan is demanding the arrest of Sharan Singh. Earlier, regarding the whole matter, Indian Olympic Association President PT Usha had said that the demonstration on the streets is indiscipline and it is tarnishing the image of the country.

In his statement, he had said that if he had any problem, he should have come to us, talked to us. Instead of coming to us, they have come out on the road, it is not good for the game. He clearly said that protesting on the streets is indiscipline and it is tarnishing the image of the country. On PT Usha’s statement, Bajrang Punia said that we did not expect such a strong response from IOA President PT Usha, we expected her to support us. At the same time, Sakshi Malik had said that it was very sad to hear this because being a woman player, she is not listening to women players. He said that we have been following him since childhood. We are also inspired by him that he has done so much good for the country.

The matter of the performance of the players had reached the Supreme Court. After this, a case was also registered against Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh. The Delhi Police on Friday registered two FIRs against Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh in connection with the allegations of sexual harassment leveled by seven women wrestlers. The first FIR was registered under the POCSO Act on the allegations of a minor wrestler, while the second related to outraging the modesty. On the other hand, Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh has said that earlier it was a protest against the policy of the Federation, but now it has become a protest against the government, Modi ji… There is no protest in Haryana, just a protest against one arena and one family. The wrestlers are not in their support, so they invited the Khap Panchayat.
