WTA Finals: Sabalenka beat Swiatake, to face Garcia in final
Aryna SabalenkaAryna Sabalenka Top-ranked player Inga Swiatake reached the final of the WTA Finals tennis tournament after putting an end to a 15-match winning campaign against the top 10 players. Sabalenka defeated Sviatake 6-2, 2-6, 6-1 in a three-set match. In the final, Sabalenka will face Caroline Garcia, who defeated Maria Saccari 6-3, 6-2. Sabalenka is on track to become the second Frenchman to win the final of the season.

French Open and US Open champion Swiatec had a chance to equal Steffi Graf’s record for most consecutive top 10 defeats. Graf won 17 consecutive matches against the top 10 players in 1987. In doubles, defending champions Barbora Krejcikova and Katerina Sinyakova also defeated Lyudmila Kichenok and Jelena Ostapenko 7-6(5), 6-2 to reach the final.
