Former Zimbabwe all-rounder Heath Streak is suffering from cancer and is undergoing treatment in South Africa. The 49-year-old played 65 Tests and 189 ODIs for Zimbabwe from 1993 to 2005. In both these formats, he scored a total of 4933 runs and took 455 wickets. After his retirement, he took over as the bowling coach of the Indian Premier League team Kolkata Knight Riders. Apart from this, he was also the bowling coach of Gujarat Lions (now disbanded), Bangladesh and Somerset. He also worked as a consultant at the Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association Academy. Streak was banned from participating in all cricket-related activities for eight years in 2021. He was banned after he admitted five charges of breaching the ICC Anti-Corruption Code, including providing inside information and abetting a corrupt offer.
