Abundanshiya Entertainment’s supernatural thriller, ‘Chhori’ was released in November 2021 and managed to impress both the audience and critics alike. Not only this, the makers of this film did not take long to announce the sequel of the film, in which Nushrat Bharucha will return to play the lead role of ‘Sakshi’. Based on the struggle of a pregnant couple to move into a new home, the film engrossing the presence of a paranormal (Atma), with Nushrat playing the lead role. Based on the overwhelming response that the first film received from the audience, everyone believes that Nusrat managed to deliver a torchbearer performance with the role, which suggests that the director of the film can only cast her as the lead in their official sequel. Why were you bent on being cast as?

they say, “Nushrat Bharucha is one of the most underrated actors in our industry. Movies like ‘Chhori’ and ‘Ajeeb Dastaan’ are proof of his talent. The versatility that he possesses cannot be seen in all, which is one of the many reasons for which I decided to approach him for the supernatural thriller last year. I had full faith in her that she would be able to do justice to the role and that is exactly what happened. When I thought of continuing with the story of Chhori, I couldn’t even imagine doing it with any other actor. For me, Nushrat has imprinted the character of ‘Sakshi’ and only she could have taken Chhori’s journey forward on the big screen. I am very excited to be working with my team again. To bring to the world a more exciting and thrilling chapter of Sakshi’s life.”
