Earlier, Swami Prasad Maurya, a strong leader of the backward caste, reached the Samajwadi Party office along with hundreds of his supporters. He was accompanied by former minister Dr. Dharam Singh Saini. All of them were given membership of Samajwadi Party by Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav.

On this occasion, Akhilesh Yadav said that the wickets of BJP are falling continuously. He said- We know that where the owner of his government is formed. Samajwadi Party alliance can win 400 seats in the state. Referring to a remark of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, he said – Now 80 percent of the people of the state are standing with the Samajwadi Party. BJP is sure to be wiped out from Uttar Pradesh. Significantly, after the announcement of the election, the Chief Minister had said that the election was between 80 percent and 20 percent for the purpose of communal polarization.

On the occasion of joining SP, Swami Prasad Maurya said that today the conch shell has been sounded for the end of BJP. Now by eliminating BJP, Uttar Pradesh has to be freed from the exploitation of BJP. Maurya said- BJP had formed the government using the names of Keshav Prasad Maurya and Swami Prasad Maurya. Taking a jibe at the BJP, he said – make the government Dalit and backward and everyone should eat cream. Now it won’t.

Along with Swami Prasad Maurya and Dr. Dharam Singh Saini, six MLAs – MLAs Bhagwati Prasad Sagar, Vinay Shakya, Roshanlal Verma, Dr. Mukesh Verma, Brajesh Prajapati and Chaudhary Amar Singh also joined the SP.
