A target has been set to complete the construction work of the grand temple of Lord Shri Ram in Ayodhya by December 2023. In 2024, the day of Makar Sankranti has been fixed to establish Lord Shri Ram Lalla in his womb. Meanwhile, unseasonal rains have hampered the pace of construction work. Rain created a hindrance in the construction work of Ram temple. The construction work was disrupted for about 7 days.

Due to rain, two machines engaged in construction work at the western end of the Ram Janmabhoomi complex got stuck. Efforts are on to remove water from the premises. Due to the rains, laborers and artisans are finding it difficult to carry stones and work at the construction site, due to which some works cannot be done in such conditions. They have been stopped. After the situation becomes normal, the pace of construction work will also be as before. The pace of temple construction is satisfactory at present.

On this, VHP’s provincial media in-charge Sharad Sharma said that it is natural that when it rains, the work gets interrupted. Work is being done in the open, the work of the artisans and laborers who are engaged due to rain has stopped. Either if there is a shadow, then work will be done on it. So this work has stopped. The rest is just going on.

Giving information about what work has been stopped, he further said that the people who lift the stones due to rain and those who keep the stones in the sanctum sanctorum will naturally get wet and work cannot be done while getting wet. Light is also working, so electricity is also affected. If it is a matter of mud, then the sweat that will remain in the soil will be suppressed due to rain.
