Ayushmann, named one of the world’s most influential people by Time magazine, has recently been appointed as the UNICEF’s Celebrity Advocate for the global campaign EVAC (Ending Violence Against Children). Today, on the occasion of National Youth Day, Ayushman has given a special message to our country to stop violence against children.
ayushman says, “National Youth Day is another occasion for all of us to commit ourselves towards an urgent issue. Let us join hands to end violence against children everywhere with the start of this year. Violence, as we all know, affects children everywhere and in all aspects of their lives. Even today, many youths must have faced violence in their childhood.
he adds, “I want to reiterate that violence and bullying in any form is unacceptable. We should develop a culture of tolerance and respect. At the same time, we must also ensure that our homes, schools and social networks are safe places for children. As a UNICEF celebrity advocate advocating for an end to violence against children, I hope that together, we can make a difference.”
Ayushmann also highlights this year’s UNICEF agenda for India’s youth. they say, UNICEF works towards ensuring the rights of all children everywhere, including their right to physical and mental well-being. Given COVID-19, this is even more important as the impact of the pandemic has made children more vulnerable to online violence and exploitation.”
he goes on, “We can bring about positive change only when we properly identify the problem, talk about it and come together to fight it. It is important for all of us to raise our collective voice and take action against violence. As a UNICEF Celebrity Advocate, I aim to reach as many people as possible, including children and parents, with this message.”
he goes on, “On the same note, I wish you all a very Happy New Year. Please take all precautions and follow the rules to keep yourself and your loved ones safe from COVID-19.
