Ruckus over hybrid model
ACC is going to turn down their demand to host Asia Cup matches on ‘hybrid model’. According to PCB sources, “Sethi has informed Barclay and Allardyce that Pakistan does not want to play matches in Ahmedabad unless it is a knockout or final type match.” Doesn’t want to play in Ahmedabad. He said, “They have requested the ICC that if the Pakistan government allows India to play the World Cup, then Pakistan’s matches should be held in Chennai, Bengaluru and Kolkata.” The Pakistan Board is concerned about the security of the team in Ahmedabad.
