Rhett Halkett, Newly Appointed Associate Member of Indian Hockey Team, Joins Allan Tan Hockey Camp

Bangalore. Indian men’s hockey team’s newly appointed analytical coach Rhett Halkett and scientific advisor Alan Tan attended the team camp led by new head coach Craig Fulton at the Sports Authority of India (SAI) center here. Both of them had reached New Delhi on Thursday and then came to Bengaluru from there.

India begin their preparations for the upcoming European leg of the FIH Pro League starting May 26 and both Rhett and Allen will work closely with Fulton. India will take on Belgium and Great Britain in London and then travel to Eindhoven, Netherlands to play against Netherlands and Argentina. The Indian team has a very busy calendar this year.

The team then has to participate in the Asian Champions Trophy to be held in Chennai in August and then the Asian Games in Hangzhou, China. Dilip Tirkey, President, Hockey India said, “With major tournaments lined up in the coming months, this pairing with Coach Fulton will ensure that the players are ready to face the top teams in the world. We are confident that he will help take the team to new heights this year.
