Sakkari and Sabalenka confirm places in WTA Finals semi-finals

Maria Sakkari and Aryna Sabalenka entered the semi-finals of the WTA Finals tennis tournament with straight sets wins. Sakkari defeated Ons Jabur 6-2, 6-3 in her last match of the round-robin group stage, while Sabalenka defeated Jessica Pegula 6-3, 7-5 to secure her place in the semi-finals.

America’s Pegula could not win a single match in this round robin tournament. Meanwhile, Desira Kravzich of the Netherlands and Demi Schuurs of the United States defeated Xu Yifan and Yang Zhaosuan of China 7-6(2), 6-3 to enter the doubles semi-finals.
