Commission meeting today regarding elections

New Delhi. An important meeting of the Central Election Commission will be held on Monday regarding the assembly elections to be held in five states. It is being told that officials of the Union Health Ministry will attend this meeting. After this meeting, the Election Commission team has to visit Uttar Pradesh. There can also be a meeting with health officials on the situation in Corona. The meeting to be held on Monday before the Uttar Pradesh tour is being considered very important.

Point to be noted is that Assembly elections are going to be held in Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Goa and Manipur in the next two months, while at the same time cases of corona virus have started increasing in the country. The Election Commission is worried about this. The commission has called a meeting on Monday to review the situation in Corona. In this, along with the officials of the Union Health Ministry, Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan will also be present. Significantly, three days ago, the Allahabad High Court appealed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Election Commission to postpone the assembly elections due to the situation in Corona.
