Veteran actors Jagapathi Babu and Sarath Kumar appeared together in Disney Hotstar’s first Telugu series Parampara. This family drama series is backed by Shobu Yarlagadda, Producer of “Baahubali” and Prasad Devineni of Arka MediaWorks Production.

Written by Hari Yeleti and directed by Krishna Vijay L and Vishwanath Arigela, Parampara is an epic tale of power, corruption and generational bad blood. In Tradition, Kumar plays Nagendra Naidu, a dangerous businessman for whom morality is in the gray area, while Babu plays his subordinate right-hand man Mohan Rao. According to Sarath Kumar, known for films like “Nattamai”, “Sooryavansham” and “Pazhassi Raja”, he feels honored to be a part of a project that is setting an example for the Telugu industry.

He is honored to debut his digital web series with ‘Paramana’. As an actor working on a web series for the first time there are few changes that need to be done and his journey about acting process is full of excitement and exploration. Actor Sarath Kumar, 67, was hopeful that the tradition would resonate with the audience. Talking about his role in Parampara, Sarath Kumar says, “My role as a powerful business tycoon has many layers which are skillfully handled through the direction of Krishna Vijay L. He usually had a lot of fun being a part of ‘Paramada’ and hope the audience will enjoy watching it more.

“For my character Mohan Rao, there is a muted intensity to the way he walks, and talks, which is very captivating. The entire character building as both an actor and a human being taught Sarath Kumar many lessons. He had a lot of fun playing the role of Mohan Rao in Tradition and is hopeful that it will come in the series as well,” says Babu, who is known for his villainous roles in “Legend” and “Pulimurugan”, according to the official synopsis. “Tradition” is the story of David vs. Goliath. In which the acting of Sarath Kumar is very strong. As far as the world is concerned, Naidu family’s paternal grandfather Naidu and his brother Mohan Rao share an unbreakable bond. But trouble is brewing inside the Naidu family as Mohanrao’s son Gopi decides to expose Naidu who is torturing Mohanrao in the guise of love. This sets the stage with a conflict between the two resulting in a power struggle.

Viewers will be treated to a power drama that boasts of emotions, actions and a captivating storyline that will keep them hooked to the series.
