In fact, Jignesh Mevani was arrested by the Assam Police in connection with the tweet against Prime Minister Modi. For which the Congress party performed fiercely.
Jignesh Mevani was arrested by the Assam Police on Wednesday and then produced before a court in Kokrajhar. From where he was sent to judicial custody for 3 days. After this, Jignesh Mevani was once again produced before the court on Sunday. In such a situation, the court sent him to judicial custody for one day. But on Monday, Jignesh Mevani got bail.
According to the information received, Jignesh Mevani had claimed in his tweet that Prime Minister Modi considers Godse to be God. For which a local BJP leader from Kokrajhar in Assam had filed a complaint against him.
